RDR3, an inevitable sequel?

Ever since Red Dead Redemption 2 launched, players have been hoping to see a new entry in this video game western. Asked about it on the social network X, Roger Clark sounded confident:

"I'm convinced there will be a Red Dead Redemption 3 someday. But I have no idea when it might be announced."

A statement that fuels speculation, even though no official announcement has been made by Rockstar yet.

Arthur Morgan returning? Unlikely

The actor also made a point of clarifying that his iconic character, Arthur Morgan, should not reappear in a possible third installment:

"I think Arthur's story has already been told. Don't expect to see him again."

A message that clashes with some players' hope of seeing the outlaw return, in the form of a prequel or flashbacks.

What future for the saga?

Rockstar could follow many paths: exploring an earlier period, like the gold rush, or continuing the adventure through Jack Marston, heir to the family story. Nothing has leaked yet, but interest in the series remains intact, and players' anticipation could push the studio to consider a new entry.
